Tuesday nights at 81 Washington Street take on a life of their own. Doors swing open at 5 p.m., and by 6:30 the Bingo cards are out, the bar is busy, and the room is full of regulars who've been coming for years alongside first-timers who wandered in and never quite left. That kind of easy mix, where a longtime member and a newcomer can share a table without a second thought, is what Elks Lodge No. 360 has built over generations in New London, CT.

Upstairs, the second-floor hall does real work. It has a proper dance floor, a stage area, a full kitchen, and a bar, which means birthdays, baby showers, and community fundraisers all land here and land well. The space is practical without being plain, and the people running it know how to make an event feel like an occasion rather than a rental.

The Lodge also opens its doors for public events, including grilled pizza nights that have drawn strong reviews for both the food and the welcome. This is not a closed-off fraternal club that keeps the world at arm's length. It is a working community organization that happens to throw a good party.

What We Offer

Bingo every Tuesday is the Lodge's most popular public draw. Doors open at 5 p.m. and play runs from 6:30 until roughly 9:30 or 10:00, with payouts throughout the evening. It draws a consistent crowd and a genuine sense of competition without taking itself too seriously.

The second-floor event hall is available for private bookings: birthday parties, baby showers, anniversary celebrations, and organizational gatherings all fit comfortably. The room includes a dance floor, a small stage, a fully stocked bar, and kitchen access, so you are not piecing together a venue from separate vendors.

Beyond the recurring and private events, the Lodge hosts public community nights, including seasonal food events that have earned consistently strong word of mouth. Membership in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks also connects members to a national network of charitable programs, scholarship opportunities, and veterans' services that extend well beyond what happens inside these walls.

"As far as the dancehall/party venue goes there is good space for Birthday party, Baby shower, etc. Theres a dace floor and a min stage area. They have a bar and full kitchen. It's located on the second floor and it's slightly run down and could use a little updating but serves it's purpose."

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
